There are many ways to communicate information and express our thoughts, one of which is written in form. There’s a big demand for writing blogs but not so many people are practicing it. It’s really a valuable skill, it’s a valuable asset to have in your pocket.
If you’ll learn how to blog, you’ll have a skill that will be there for long. As you consistently blog, you’ll learn how to choose words properly, create better sentence structure, choose the right tone, and etc.
By the way, I might be blogging for quite some time now but you might not see improvements in my writing style. LOL. First of all, I hate being too formal and I always wanted to incorporate my voice in my writings as if I’m just speaking.
I have the right do my own style here. After all, it my own blog, right? You can do whatever you want in your own blog too! and that’s another benefit of blogging.
8. Blogging is a form of investment
Similar to many investments where you can gain from capital appreciation and dividends. Your blog can be initially acquired at cheap price, you earn along the way, and when its value increased overtime, you. When the perfect time comes, you can actually sell it hundred to thousand folds its initial price.
Many people are already into buying and selling websites. Some people are already earning from hundreds of dollars to hundred thousands of dollars simply by doing the buy and sell process over and over again.
For as long as you keep growing your blog, writing valuable content for the readers, keeping your community engaged, your blog’s value keeps on increasing.
9. Blogging lets you help people without you even knowing it
With blogging, your opportunities to help other people are limitless. After reading your content, some will contact you through your Facebook account, some will email you in your blog’s contact page, and some will be asking for help in the comments section.
Helping others without expecting something in return can build trust with your readers and your community. It’s like investing in them.
The more you build the trust between you and your readers, the more they’ll likely to follow your recommendations what to do, what to buy, where to buy, and etc..
10. Blogging brings you targeted audience
Website without traffic is basically useless. Website with a lot of traffic without any interest in what you say is the same. If you want to attract those people you care about, you need to blog about the things your target people are looking for.
You can optimize your articles for keywords your prospects are searching for. You can present solutions to their needs and if you have products and services to offer, you can do so.
11. It can make you think clearer
One of the benefits you can get from blogging is it can help you think clearly. Writing is no easy task specially if you’re writing 2000 to 3000 words every single blog.
After continuous months of blogging you’ll notice that your thought process will be used to thinking about the structure and the flow of your blog. Your brain muscles for expressing your thoughts will grow as you keep on blogging.
12. Blogging can build your confidence
When you hit the “publish” button after you review your article, you are now presenting your thoughts for criticism. But because your blog is your own space, your own territory, you will not care much about what others might say. You will gain the confidence in expressing your thoughts.
You will gain that emotional intelligence to stay calm whenever you hear flattery or extreme criticism about your posts.
13. It’s a kind of game you can play.
One thing I like about blogging is I treat it as a game. Whenever I wanted to rank for a certain keyword, my game is to outrank all the possible pages the search engine result until I get the top 3 spot.
I personally hate writing blogs like these but because blogging is a big game and writing is just a part of it, what keeps me blogging are the things that surround it.
I hate writing but I love friendly competition. I like the game of the search engines, I like developing websites, I like reverse engineering people’s thoughts, I like the art of persuasion, I like developing systems, and etc.
I may not like writing but the things that surround it are games I love to play.
So that’s it!
